The weather has been incredible lately and this weekend didn’t disappoint, it feels like the middle of July. On Saturday I went on a date with my hair stylist and headed to the Oak Bay Tea Party to go on some rides and eat some cotton candy. Later in the evening we went out for tacos and then to see Mad Max in 3D, which was incredible mainly because Tom Hardy is such a babe haha.
I was really excited when Far and Wide Collective contacted me because I love what their company represents. Far and Wide collective partners with artisans in emerging economies from around the world. They provide them with business support and market access, while they focus on their craft, producing well-made and authentic products. Every on-line purchase supports entrepreneurship, small-business growth and livelihoods in the country where it is made. Trade and economic growth mean more prosperous, better-educated and more stable societies which we believe makes the world a better place. I choose this pink Water-buffalo clutch because I loved the colour and unique print. This bag is embroidered by women in central Chitral, in the mountains of Northern Pakistan. Here there are very few socially acceptable work opportunities for women outside the home. The production of these exquisite bags brings women artisans together and connects them to outside markets. Each is a piece of living art.
Take a look at their website to see all of the unique handmade products that they have to offer.
