Since my late twenties I have suffered from hormonal acne on and off. Some months are worse than others but for the most part I tend to get a few break outs along my jaw line every month. It was so bad a few weeks back with painful cysts on my jawline so I decided to see a naturopath who specializes in clear skin. I have never been to a naturopath before so I wasn’t sure what to expect but I must say that it was a huge waste of money. I did my own research before going to the naturopath about hormonal acne and discovered that you should limit dairy, sugar and refined carbohydrates to avoid hormonal acne. The naturopath basically told me to do the same thing and prescribed me a bunch of extremely expensive vitamins which I didn’t buy.  Needless to say I will never be seeing a naturopath again. I did however change my diet and limit the amount of cheese and dairy I consume on a regular basis. I can still eat yogurt because the good bacteria and probiotics are beneficial.

Since I made some changes to my diet and began using the Kate Somerville EradiKate acne line I have noticed a drastic improvement in my skin. I was very skeptical about this line because I have tried almost everything under the sun and nothing worked.  I have been using the EradiKate Mask two times a week and more often when I have break outs. The mask has a pink colour which turns into a foam on your face with a slight sulphur smell. I leave the mask on for 10 minutes and my skin is soft after with no dryness or irritation. I was so worried that I would get super dry skin from this mask but my skin feels radiant and moisturized afterwards. I have been using the EradiKate spot treatment almost religiously and LOVE IT. I apply it several times a day if I am at home and every night while I sleep. This formula has a strong sulphur smell and slightly tingles when you put it on but it seriously works! I am honestly so relieved I discovered this line because I feel so happy knowing that I have a solution to my on going hormonal acne.
