I normally don’t spend my summers frolicking on the beach or riding jet skis because I don’t particularly enjoy shopping for a swimsuit or wearing one. I am pretty sure that everyone has some sort of body insecurity and I know very few people who actually enjoy shopping for a swimsuit.
I decided to take the plunge and buy my swimsuit early this year at Target, this way I wouldn’t get caught red handed once the weather gets nicer. I was a little nervous about buying a swimsuit online because it is so hard to tell which style will actually look good on you. When it comes to shopping I prefer to try on all of my clothes in the privacy of my home this way I don’t have to deal with the pressure of making a decision on the spot and I can take my time. Shopping online is super easy with Target because they have a great selection of swimsuits for all shapes and sizes as well as free shipping and a great return policy so you can try on as many swimsuits as you want and return what doesn’t work.
I personally wanted to go for a one piece swimsuit because they have more coverage and I find the cuts to be flattering on my body type. I love this one piece striped swimsuit because it has draping in the front which is really flattering. I also love the retro navy pin stripes because it adds a slimming effect. I chose this second swimsuit because it is the perfect combination of a bikini and a one piece with the crochet overlay on the torso. It has a peekaboo effect to it which is sexy and sophisticated.
This summer I am going to have #NOFOMO by spending some time exploring the beautiful lakes around my city and hanging out at the beach near my house. I live close to so many beautiful places and always regret not enjoying them as much as I should because of my lack of swimwear. Summer 2016 is going to be the summer of Laura.
What is your #NOFOMO for summer of 2016?
Thank you Target for sponsoring this post.
