Happy Friday lovelies. As I mentioned on Wednesday’s blog, post-Andrew and I went to Seattle last week with Clipper Vacations to attend the Northwest Flower & Garden Show and stay at the Hotel Theodore in downtown Seattle. I was so excited to go to Seattle because I haven’t been there in years! The Clipper ferry from Victoria is approximately 3 hours and departs from Victoria’s inner harbour and arrives in downtown Seattle. It is such a relaxing ferry ride with comfortable chairs a food menu and bar service. All you have to do is sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery and before you know it you will be in downtown Seattle. When we arrived in Seattle, we took a quick Uber Ride to our hotel. I still get so excited when I get to take Uber because it is not available in Victoria.
Andrew and I loved our stay at Hotel Theodore. Our favourite part was the spacious studio suite with a massive king size bed and the separate shower and bathroom with a claw foot tub and shower in one room. The shower was incredible because it felt like a massive steam room and it had a glass door facing the bedroom. I honestly couldn’t get out of the shower, and it was so nice relaxing in there after a long day exploring the city. The bed was perfect for lounging and working on my computer. The suite felt so big and spacious. Hotel Theodore was within walking distance to all of the attractions including Pike Place Market and Capitol Hill. The hotel was right across the street from the conference centre, so we didn’t have to worry about finding it in the morning when we attended the Northwest Flower & Garden Festival.
STUDIO SUITE
For creative thinkers who want more space to sprawl
If you’re a thinker and a doer, it only fits that you would want a bit more room to ponder your latest creation, or meet with colleagues over your next venture. Our Studio Suite has 440 square feet of space, with both a writing desk and separate seating area. This corner suite even has a separate shower and bathroom, including a traditional claw-foot tub for relaxing. Offerings extend to our locally inspired honor bar, complimentary Wi-Fi, a sublime sleep experience, and all of our Signature Amenities.
Hotel Theodore’s modernist Art Deco tower was the tallest hotel in the city when it opened downtown as the Roosevelt Hotel in 1929. Since then, under the warm glow of the building’s red neon “ROOSEVELT” sign, Seattle has evolved from the epicenter of the Pacific Northwest’s maritime and forestry industries to a cradle of innovation that has transformed the aviation, computing, retail, and hospitality industries, and taken a seat at the global table.
INSPIRED BY SEATTLE
Welcome to Hotel Theodore, a luxury hotel in downtown Seattle that honors the city’s long tradition of makers, builders, and doers. We’re proud to provide our guests with an authentic Emerald City experience—one that values the hand-crafted and custom-tailored over the mass-produced. Each of our rooms and suites offers travelers an inspiring respite in the heart of one of America’s most dynamic cities. A museum-curated collection of art and artifacts brings the innovative spirit of Seattle into Hotel Theodore, while playful amenities, thoughtful programming, and regional cuisine reflect attention to the needs and desires of today’s travelers, delivering only-in-Seattle experiences.
The Pacific Northwest At Your Doorstep
Hotel Theodore’s central location in downtown Seattle—at the intersection of 7th Avenue and bustling Pine Street—puts guests within easy reach of the city’s legendary attractions. The art museums, cafés, boutiques, and restaurants that make downtown Seattle the cultural hub of the Pacific Northwest are all close at hand. Pike Place Market and popular Seattle neighbourhoods like Capitol Hill are a short walk away, and within a few minutes by car, guests can reach iconic Seattle points of interest like the Space Needle and the ferries bound across the gorgeous Puget Sound. Just beyond the city, the region’s pristine wilderness and parklands beckon nature lovers and adventurers as well.

The next day we woke up early to attend the TweetUp for the Flower & Garden Show from 7:30 am to 9:00 am. This was my first time visiting The Northwest Flower & Garden Show, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised by all of the beautiful floral landscape designs. When you walk into the show you are immediately engulfed by a lovely floral scent it is almost overwhelming. I also got a fantastic swag bag with so many goodies for the gardening enthusiast. We also enjoyed some coffee and snacks while browsing all of the unique vendors. I wanted to buy so much stuff especially those embroidered cat pillows featured below.
The Northwest Flower & Garden Show has been heralding the start of spring since 1989, as gardening enthusiasts from around the Northwest flock to this annual celebration held in the beautiful Washington State Convention Center for five magical days.
