I was in an autumn state of mind when I chose this outfit because of the colour palette and maroon hat. It is so hard to think about autumn in the middle of summer but it is difficult to avoid when all of the fashion magazines and stores roll out their fall merchandise at the beginning of August. I find September to be really warm where I live so a maxi dress with a rich colour palette is a perfect piece for transitioning into colder weather. You can wear most of your summer pieces well into September and October if you layer them will fall accent colours and accessorize with rich colours like this maroon hat.
