I was initially going to wear  a black leather jacket and booties with this floral shift dress from Old Navy and decided to make it more of a summer look at the last minute because of the unbearable heat. I took these photos on one of the hottest days of the year and there was no way I was going to attempt to dress in fall clothes. I actually jumped into the ocean for a swim a few minutes after taking these photos at Island View Beach. I haven’t gone swimming in the ocean for years mainly because the water is almost always freezing but this day was an exception. I wasn’t swimming laps and staying under for long periods of time but I was able to take a quick dip and then dry off in the sun without freezing to death.
