On Friday Andrew and I took the new V2V luxury passenger ferry linking downtown Vancouver and the Victoria Harbor. I am so excited that I can now take a ferry directly to downtown Vancouver from downtown Victoria. Before the V2V ferry I would normally have to take a bus or drive 45 min to the ferry terminal and then when I got to the mainland I would have to travel for another hour and take a bus and a Skytrain before I made it to downtown Vancouver. By the time you arrive in Vancouver, you feel like you have flown across the country because it takes approximately 5 hours to get to Vancouver by BC Ferries and the trip is exhausting. I always dread traveling to Vancouver for this reason, and now I can sit back and relax on the new ferry and not have to worry about taking multiple buses and trains to get downtown. The V2V takes 3.5 hours to get to downtown Vancouver from Victoria harbor.
Once we settled into our seat, we had a cappuccino and enjoyed the view before we took off.
I loved that all of the tables were maps of Vancouver Island and the lower mainland.
There is plenty of time to catch up all of your work on the ferry with complimentary wifi and USB ports to charge your devices.
My favorite part was the rooftop patio on the ferry where you can take in panoramic views of the beautiful landscape.
A three-course meal served at your seat.

Float planes were passing overhead upon our arrival in Vancouver.
