Dress c/o Chic Wish – Coat: Vintage – Shoes c/o Modcloth – Bag: Vintage

The weather here has been so crazy these last few days! The whole city has shut down because there has been so much snow. I drove to work on Monday morning and had to leave my car there and walk home because there was a blizzard coming and my work shut down at 2:30 pm instead of 4. The buses got stuck in the snow part way home, so I had to walk the rest of the way home in a blizzard with sneakers and a lightweight jacket, no gloves or a hat. By the time I got home, I was completely iced over and soaking wet. I think I am just not used to this type of weather because it doesn’t happen very often, but it honestly felt like pure survival. I think if I lived in a colder climate that had normal winters with a lot of snow I would invest in some serious technical gear, but as of now, it doesn’t seem worth it because it doesn’t happen very often on the west coast. I am however pleased that I picked up this coat at the church sale two weeks ago because it has been a game changer when it comes to battling the cold. It also looks amazing with my new burgundy Chic Wish dress.
