One of my favorite places to take photos is Government House because they have beautiful grounds and rose gardens in the summer. I go there a few times a week to have picnics with Andrew and Pinky. On the weekend I went with my mom for after tea at the Cary Castle Mews & Tea Room located at Government House. After we had tea, we then strolled through the beautiful gardens and went to visit the costume museum located next to the tea room. The tea room is situated in Butterworth Cottage and features lunch, tea and pastries. The Executive Chef for the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia also makes all of the food for the Tea Room. When the Royal Family, including Kate Middleton and Prince William, come to Victoria they stay at Government House. The Queen even stays there, and when I was younger, I saw her leave Government house and wave at me out the window of her car. If you are ever visiting Victoria, I highly recommend visiting this hidden gem in Rockland.
