Andrew and I went to Seattle last week for two nights and had a fantastic time enjoying everything the city has to offer including afternoon tea at The Georgian located in the Fairmont Olympic. I like to consider myself an afternoon tea enthusiast because I have been to almost every afternoon tea establishment in Victoria. I must say that The Georgian has turned out to be one of my favorite new places to have afternoon tea because of its vintage old world charm. There is something exquisite and classic about afternoon tea at The Georgian. I loved the high ceilings and massive Palladian windows combined with the oversized chandeliers. I almost felt like I was having tea at Versailles. All of the sandwiches and pastries are made in-house. There were so many lovely touches included in the afternoon tea experience like the fresh berries and scones that added to that vintage charm. There was a large variety of sandwiches of generous proportions and plenty of yummy pastries to balance things out. I am so excited to visit the Fairmont Olympic the next time I am in Seattle and explore what else the hotel has to offer.
