On Friday my mom and I went to Venus Sophia for afternoon tea. Victoria is known for its afternoon tea and tourists come from all over the world to experience a Victorian high tea. I have been to several places through out the city and want to make an effort to experience all of them at some point. This was my first time at Venus Sophia and I must say that I was overly impressed by the overall atmosphere and quality of the afternoon tea. I love the decor at Venus Sophia because of the cute vintage bicycles with flower baskets and all of the tea cups and spoons are unique and vintage. Venus Sophia is basically a tea room designed for lovers of all things vintage and shabby chic.

My mom and I ordered the signature afternoon tea because we wanted the full high tea experience with the three tiered tray with a selection of fresh sandwiches, quiche of the day, scones with devon cream and jam, shortbread and fresh baked mini cakes. I decided to buy some Victorian Rose tea to take home with me because It is the most beautiful and exotic tea I have every tasted. The Victorian Rose tea is an irresistible fair trade Ceylon black tea blend of rose buds, rose petals, natural rose essence and lemon balm.
