Skincare products c/o Avène
I have a thing for French skincare products and Avène has been a brand that I have wanted to try for a while now. I was excited to try Avène because my skin has become so sensitive lately and Avène specializes in skincare for sensitive and intolerant skin. If you have any skin conditions like dermatitis, psoriasis, eczema and burns then I would highly recommend trying out this brand. The price points are very affordable which is always a bonus. In 1743 the first Hydrotherapy Centre was built near the Sainte-Odile spring in the Avène Valley. Avène Thermal spring water has many therapeutic properties and is used to treat a variety of dermatological skin conditions. The Avène skincare brand was launched in 1990 as a way to capture the same healing benefits to soothe sensitive skin worldwide. Avène products are formulated with Thermal Spring water and bottled directly from the source of the spring.
Avène Thermal Spring Water Spray
Avène thermal spring water spray is captured directly from its source in France ensuring that all it’s soothing and softening properties are preserved. I have been using this spray after I wash my face as a refresher post toner. I also use it as a refresher throughout the day and after hot yoga. It is great for facial redness and dry irritated skin. This spray would be perfect for travelling especially when you get off the plane and need a quick refresher.
Avène Extremely Gentle Cleanser
I have been using this cleanser as a makeup remover instead of a cleanser because of its application process and no rinse formula. I like to use a Clarisonic when I wash my face so I like to use a rinse off face wash when I do this. I apply this cleanser to a cotton pad and gently rub it on my face to remove eye makeup and foundation. This cleanser is amazing for sensitive skin because it is Fragrance-free, paraben-free, colorant-free and alcohol-free. If you are looking for an extremely gentle cleanser or makeup remover then I would highly recommend this product.
I really love to use this mask every few days now that the weather is getting cooler and my skin is getting dry. It is extremely soft and gentle on the skin and makes my skin feel super soft and moisturized afterwards. If you are one of those people who gets super dry and irritated skin in the winter then I would highly recommend this mask as a way to soothe and protect your skin.
I have talked about my battle with hormonal acne in my previous posts and how I have been on the search for products to combat this. One of the worst parts about acne is the residual marks that are left behind which can take ages to fade. This products helps to exfoliate the skin smoothing the texture as well as reducing the look of residual marks with Retinaldéhyde. I have been using this product morning and night for a few weeks now and I find that my skin looks smoother and brighter with no new pimples. I am for sure going to buy this treatment again once my bottle runs out because I love that it fights adult acne and has anti-aging properties.
This is cream is hands down the best cream for dry, sensitive and irritated skin. I had dry irritated skin from testing too many products and I found that this cream really helped my skin to recover. I noticed that my skin didn’t get any more rashes while using it and my skin felt soft and moisturized. I find this cream perfect for someone who wants something simple and fragrance free.
