I have tried some amazing beauty products over the last few weeks and decided to do a round-up of some of my favourite products I have tried in January. Some of these products were just random encounters where I was out of something and decided to pick up at the drugstore quickly. I love it when I find a drugstore beauty product that turns out to be incredible. I think that is why I love trying new products because I am always in search of that hidden gem.
PHYSICIANS FORMULA: The Healthy Foundation SPF 20
I was In need of a new foundation, so I decided to walk to the drugstore down the street to see if I could find one under $20. I usually wear drugstore foundation because I find them to be just as effective as the higher end brands. I was initially attracted to this Physicians Formula foundation because of the beautiful and sleek looking bottle that reminded me of the Lancome foundation. I have never tried Physicians Formula before, but I loved that it was free from toxic ingredients. This has become one of my new favourite foundations because it has good coverage and gives your skin a healthy glow. I wore it every day in Phoenix, and my skin didn’t burn because of the SPF 20.
TEINT IDEAL CONCEALER: CONCEALS UNDER EYE DARK CIRCLES AND BLEMISHES
I have been using this Vichy concealer for a few months now, and it is amazing! I use it on my under eyes as a way to brighten and conceal my dark circles. I love it because it makes my eyes look bright and moisturised and it doesn’t settle into my fine lines. I find that some concealers make my skin look dry and settle into my lines. The formula is infused with Vichy Mineralizing thermal water which helps to moisturise the skin from morning to night.
BITE BEAUTY: Prismatic Pearl Multistick
When I first received these sticks in the mail, I thought they were just lipsticks, but after reading about them, I realised that they were multi sticks that can be used on your eyes, cheeks and lips. I have been using them on my eyes as eyeshadow, and they are amazing. I layer the colours to achieve a prismatic look. I also love it on my cheeks mixed with my blush or on my lips on top of a lipstick.
Holika Holika: Gudetama Lazy & Easy Smooth Egg Skin Peeling Gel
I bought this skin peeling gel at CVS while I was in Phoenix. I initially bought this because of the cute egg packaging. I have never heard of this brand before but the packing is so cute, so I just had to have it. The gel goes on clear, and as you rub it onto your skin, it removes all of the dead skin cells. You can see them coming off as you slowly rub it into your skin. My face felt smooth afterwards, and I rinsed the rest of the gel off with warm water. I like that the gel is effective at exfoliating the skin without irritating or drying it out.
Alya Skin: Australian Pink Clay Mask
I am obsessed with clay face masks and have never tried a pink clay mask before. I was a little sceptical about this mask, but it is seriously incredible. It smells like fresh roses and goes on so smoothly. After I let the mask dry for a few minutes and rinsed it off my skin was insanely soft and smooth. I have been using this mask a few times a week, and I can’t get enough of it.

MOROCCAN ARGAN & CAMELLIA OILS: the marvellous ritual
A few days ago I randomly picked up this conditioner because it was on sale and I have always wanted to try the Whole Blends Collection. My hair is super dry and damaged because I have dyed it a bunch of times. I should probably get it cut again, but I have been too stubborn. I was sceptical about this conditioner because it was so cheap. I think my brain is trained to believe that more expensive products are better. I find that my hair always gets so tangled after I shampoo it but this conditioner worked wonders at untangling my hair. When I got out of the shower, I didn’t even have to apply any product. I just let it air dry, and I didn’t have any frizz. My hair felt soft, shiny and healthy it was amazing. Now I want to try the hair oil to prevent hair loss problem and see if it works for dry ends.
