One of my favourite movies is Catch me If You Can, because Leo is my favourite actor and I love movies that take place in the 1960s. This outfit was inspired by Megan Draper’s style in the television show Mad Men. I was so sad when Mad Men came to an end because I loved watching it for the style and set design. When the show first started I liked Betty Draper’s style but that changed as soon as Megan Draper came into the picture. Her style is way more modern and trendy compared to Betty and I loved her look when she lived in California. I think it is funny how we look back on other decades so fondly but in reality I am sure that they weren’t as exciting as we make them up to be.  It is like that movie Midnight in Paris where Owen Wilsons character is infatuated with the 1920s and the people he meets in the 1920s look back so fondly on The Belle Epoque. When it comes down to it I would rather just watch movies that take place in my favourite decades than actually living in them. If I was stuck in the 1960s I wouldn’t be writing this post and I couldn’t have a blog, in many ways the future is way more exciting. What’s your favourite decade?
