This post was sponsored by Scotts Miracle-Gro. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I have always wanted to get into gardening, but I found the task of having a garden to be very intimidating. If you don’t already know, I love flowers and hope to one day have my flower garden filled with fresh flowers that I can pick and use in my photos.

Since I don’t have the time or outdoor space to plant an elaborate flower garden at the moment, I decided to create my very own French Country-inspired herb garden. I have always wanted to go to France, and I have an idealistic vision in my mind about what the French countryside looks like to me. I picture rolling fields of fresh lavender and beautiful, picturesque spots to picnic under the trees while enjoying a plentiful meal flavored with fresh herbs.

To get started, I went online to Walmart.com and ordered Rosemary, Lavender, Thyme, Sage, Oregano, and Chives from Bonnie Plants and picked them up in-store. It was so convenient because I could plan my garden online beforehand and do my research to what kind of herbs I wanted to buy.  Another bonus is there is no additional cost to order online, and someone will gather and load all of the items for you.

I decided to use Miracle-Gro in my garden because it is a trusted, American-made brand that has been around for over 150 years. It also has a sense of nostalgia for me because my mom uses Miracle-Gro, and I always remember her using it when I was growing up in her garden. I am excited to see that results of Miracle-Gro because it helps to grow your plants 2x-3x as big!

Once the weather warms up and my herbs start to grow I will then transfer them outside into bigger pots or plant them in the ground. It is going to be so nice to have fresh herbs to add to my cooking in the summer, and I love the scent of fresh lavender. It was so easy to plant my mini herb garden- and also a lot of fun!

Starting my garden wasn’t nearly as difficult as I imagined, and I am excited to start growing even more plants. I also noticed that Bonnie Plants has Cat Nip that you can grow (and I know Pinky will love that).
