Whistled Chiffon Maxi Dress c/o Shabby Apple

I love this time of year because you start to get those beautiful golden sunsets where you can almost smell the crisp ocean air in the photos. I tend to gravitate towards this grassy field when I want to capture a beautiful golden sunset because I love how the sun bounces off of the tall golden grass. I was really exited to get this dress from Shabby Apple because it is the perfect transitioning piece from summer to fall. It is perfect with tall boots and the long sleeves give you enough coverage to stay warm. I was actually surprised about how substantial this dress is because of the amount of fabric and weight to it. I think if you are on the shorter side you would have to wear heels or get it hemmed because it is almost too long for me and I am 5 foot 7. I really love the subtle print with touches of red as well as the wrap front with a tie around the waist. You could easily wear a pair of leggings underneath on a cooler day and pair this dress with a camel coloured coat. I find that my burgundy hat really ties in the whole look and brings out the small accents of red in the dress.
