I cleaned up at the thrift store last week with this huge stack of vintage magazines from the 1950s and this colourful blanket. I am always on the hunt for unique props and go to my regular shops on a weekly basis to find new stuff for my blog. I thought this blanket would be prefect for a picnic on the beach and go perfectly with my vintage magazines. On Saturday Andrew and I ventured out to East Sooke Park to have a picnic and look at all of the wild roses. I didn’t bring the appropriate hiking gear so we could venture so far into the park. There is no cell reception in the park which kind of freaks me out because I feel sort of helpless with no wifi or data. I feel kind of embarrassed to admit this but I have realized how dependent I am on my iPhone. This Chic Wish dress is perfect for a day at the beach or a picnic and I adore the daisy print and chambray fabric. The off the shoulder trend seems to be a regular staple on my blog lately but I can’t seem to get enough of it.
