Fairmont Waterfront at Eco Fashion Week
On Friday Andrew and I headed over to Vancouver for the weekend to stay at The Fairmont Waterfront and attend Eco Fashion Week. We took so many photos over the course of the three days that I will have to break them up into three separate blog posts. This was my first time staying at a Fairmont Hotel, and I must say that I was very impressed by the customer service and quality of the hotel.
The Fairmont Waterfront is a world-class luxury hotel located in Vancouver’s dynamic harbourfront. What makes the Fairmont Waterfront, so unique from other hotels is that it proudly embraces a sustainable philosophy hence why Eco Fashion Week was hosted at The Fairmont Waterfront. All of the rooms are beautifully renovated with views looking over the garden and sweeping ocean views of the Burrard Inlet and stunning coastal mountains.
I was welcomed with a cute letter, and a beautiful chocolate display adorned with macarons and chocolate bugs and leaves. I was also given a jar of honey made from the bees located on the rooftop of the hotel.
A welcome letter with my name on it explaining the added perks of staying as a Fairmont Gold guest topped off with some yummy chocolate honey brittle made from the rooftop grown rosemary and honey.
The Fairmont Gold is an exclusive section of the hotel with a private check-in and personal concierge service. The rooms are extra spacious with contemporary furnishings and stellar ocean views. When you stay in the Fairmont Gold, you get to hang out in the private lounge featuring a complimentary breakfast buffet, an honor bar as well as afternoon snacks and evening canapes. You can relax in the lounge or enjoy a sunny afternoon eating on the outdoor gardened terrace looking over the city.
The view from our room overlooked the ocean and Vancouver Convention Centre. The location was so convenient because it was steps away from the Waterfront Sky Train Station and all the trendy pubs and boutiques in Gastown. You are also a short walk over to Robson street where you can find the latest fashions and a large scale mall featuring Nordstrom. You can also take out a bike and cruise through Stanley Park which is just minutes away.
On Saturday Morning we decided to bring some breakfast back to our room before we headed out for the day to enjoy all of the activities.
Freshly Squeezed Orange and Grapefruit juice as well as a late and freshly baked goods from the Gold Lounge.
I couldn’t get enough of these slippers I even wore them up to the Gold Lounge in the morning.
I was so obsessed with the Le Labo beauty products in the room so much so that I brought them home with me. This is honestly the best shampoo and conditioner I have ever used; I don’t know what I am going to do when I run out because it makes my hair so soft. I also loved that they personalized the products by adding my name to the bottle.
My favorite feature of the room was the television on the bathroom mirror. Taking a shower and watching your favorite television show is pretty entertaining I am not going to lie. It also makes getting ready in the morning extra exciting.
I loved this ultra magnifying mirror for doing my makeup especially because it had a built-in light.
Modern details with the chrome lamp and abstract wallpaper.
My new favorite body care line called Le Labo.
The view from our room was the same view featured in this magazine spread.
Enjoying my breakfast buffet in the Gold Lounge.
The buffet was so good; I especially liked the kale smoothie and overnight oats.
The mini ketchup and tabasco bottles were such a cute detail.
Probably one of the softest and most luxurious king size beds I have ever slept on.
