I have been slowly decorating my office with vintage finds that I have collected over the past few months. I found this antique dressing table at a church sale and painted it an off white colour to match my antique shabby chic desk that I recently picked up at an auction. I have been searching for a turquoise type writer for ages now and I finally found one a few weeks ago. One of my favourite movies is Breakfast at Tiffany’s because of the fashion and they way Holly Golightly decorates her apartment. I love how she incorporated vintage luggage in her living room and her clawfoot tub couch. I used vintage luggage in my office as way to store all of my accessories. I seem to be finding luggage almost every week when I hit up the church sale by my house.

My office will be complete once I put up my Northern Rose wallpaper from Graham & Brown. It is wallpaper week at Graham & Brown, which means every day of the week is a new feeling or mood for wallpaper. Today’s theme for wallpaper week is Nostalgic, I chose this theme because it is the feeling I am trying to evoke in my office. All of the antique and vintage items in my office give me a fuzzy feeling inside and makes me feel at home. I feel like I can take a trip back in time and imagine the days when people actually used type writers and traveled with colourful hand held luggage. The Northern Rose wallpaper is a traditional floral pattern with a duck egg blue colour that will give my office a classic and nostalgic look.
