Last week I was invited to attend the Cosmedica Masterclass featuring a live Q&A with renown dermatologist, Dr. Mark Lupin and preview the latest innovations by Belkyra™, CoolSculpting® and SkinCeuticals. We received a light lunch with cute sandwiches, dessert as well as an amazing swag bag filled with goodies including the latest innovation from SkinCeuticals called Triple Lipid Restore 2:4:2.

Included in the swag bag was a complimentary chemical peel worth $150. I went back for my peel on Wednesday and really enjoyed my experience. I received a 20% glycolic acid peel followed by a vitamin C face mask. The whole treatment lasted less than 30 minutes and I was able to walk out of there with no downtime. I did notice a slight stinging sensation when the peel was applied but the pain was very subtle and tolerable. I have received chemical peels in the past so I knew what to expect. I haven’t had any visible flaking on my skin. I have noticed that my skin is softer with a more even texture and my pores are smaller. I will definitely be going back there in the future when I need a quick pick me up. If you are in the Victoria area I would highly recommend heading to Cosmedica to try a chemical peel.

I also received SkinCeuticals Physical Matte UV Defense SPF 50 as well as two samples of the Reversa hand and body cream. The sunscreen is really nice because it keeps your face matte all day without looking greasy. I have been using the Reversa cream on my hands to keep them looking young since the cream contains 10% glycolic acid which helps with exfoliation.

I have been using the SkinCeuticals Triple Lipid Restore 2:4:2 all week along with the C E Ferulic Vitamin C serum. I really like how soft the face cream is on my skin and it has a lovely mint fragrance. I was a little worried to try these products because my skin has been so sensitive lately resulting in rashes from certain skincare products. It is safe to say that these products don’t irritate my skin or give me a rash which means I can continue to use them to see the long term effects. I have been using only 4-5 drops of the vitamin C serum every morning and I have noticed an over all brightening of my skin. The Vitamin C serum acts as a natural sunscreen for your skin that lasts up 72 hours so you don’t need to use it at night. Below are some more detailed facts about both SkinCeuticals products.
