Hello lovelies, today I will be talking about the 1990s beauty products that you can still buy today. I had so much filming this video because I fondly remember using all of these products from the late 90s and early 2000s.

Lipstick:

Dark brown and burgundy lipstick was very popular in the 1990s.

Popular 1990s shades:

Revlon’s Toast of New York lipstick

Wet n Wild: 538A Silk finish lipstick Just Garnet

St. Ives Apricot Scrub

Almost every teen in the 1990s had a bottle of St. Ives Apricot face scrub in their bathroom. The brand started in 1955 in Chatsworth, California. From the beginning, the brand touts its “Swiss formula” and its herb and plant extracts. By the late 1980s and early 1990s, St. Ives was the preeminent apricot scrub.

Bonne Bell Lip Smackers

I remember collecting Bonne Bell Lip Smacker in high school and had them in a wide assortment of flavors. In 1973 Bonne Bell introduced a flavored lip balm called “Lip Smackers” aimed initially at skiers then later at pre-teens and teens once they caught on to the trend. The first flavors launched were strawberry, green apple, and orange chocolate.

Teen Spirit Deodorant

Teen Spirit was first released by Mennen early in 1991, and with heavy advertising campaigns, it had soon “established a market niche” with teen girls. Sales were boosted by the grunge band Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit”.

 Body Glitter

Back in the mid to late ’90s, celebrities like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera wore body glitter, which also became popular in the mainstream.

Caboodles

I remember my pink and purple Caboodles from the 1990s, and I found a vintage one at the thrift shop, which ignited the concept for this video. Caboodles was inspired by a 1986 People magazine photoshoot, where Vanna White used a fishing tackle box as a makeup organizer.

Colored Mascara

In the 1990s colored, mascara was very popular in rainbow-bright hues like cobalt blue.

Herbal Essences Shampoo and Conditioner:

Everyone remembers those famous Herbal Essences ads from the 1990s of a lady moaning while washing her hair. The brand was founded in 1971 as the single shampoo Clairol Herbal Essence Shampoo.

Clinique Happy

My favorite fragrance in high school was Clinique Happy. I loved the fresh citrus scent. Clinique Happy was launched in 1997 the same year Titanic came out.
