I have always loved collecting vintage items and have slowly built up a collection over the years of vintage props and home decor items. I love the thrill of the hunt when it comes to finding vintage accessories especially since I don’t like paying a premium. When it comes to buying new pieces to decorate I like to find things that have a vintage look to them and blend easily with my current collection. I was so excited when I discovered H&M home because everything is affordable and they have cute cat themed items perfect for any cat lover out there. Now I wish they had cat themed bed sheets to match my towels and pillow. Regarding decorating your home in a vintage style, there are a few essential items that I like to use to give things that vintage touch. I like to use old luggage and trunks as a coffee table and night stand. They can also double up as storage and remind me of Breakfast at Tiffany’s. I also love the idea of having a type writer and a rotary phone lying around on an end table as a cute prop and conversation starter. Sunjellies also make fantastic storage for laundry and double up as a tote for grocery shopping. I have been slowly collecting floral cross stitch paintings and like to use them along with vintage floral paintings on my walls. It can take time to gather all of the vintage props for your home, but it is the thrill of the hunt that makes it so fun.
