Coat c/o Ever New – Sweater c/o SheIn – Skirt: H&M – Bag: Kate Spade – Brooch c/o Review Australia
I hope everyone had a great weekend. On Friday Andrew and I took a private boat to a tiny island off the coast of Esquimalt Harbour called Cole Island. I randomly discovered this little island when I was searching for photo locations online and soon realized it was a national historic site. It was designated part of a “National Historic District” by the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada. The district is considered to be the “most complete site of Royal Naval activity and infrastructure in the Commonwealth.” It was fascinating to explore the old buildings once used for the Royal Navy as an ammunition depot as early as 1859. There were 16 solid structures at one time and now five of the original structures remain.
This pink coat from Ever New is an absolute dream come true for me because I feel liked I stepped back in time to the 1960s with the oversized cocoon silhouette and full sleeves. It is made from this beautiful thick wool which is perfect for a chilly autumn day. I wore this coat to the vintage fair on Saturday, and people kept complimenting my coat asking me if it was vintage. A lady came up to me and asked if I wanted to go on stage to claim a prize for best dressed in a vintage outfit. I was so flattered, and I got to keep these cute vintage earrings. I also loved the sheer cut out details on this SheIn sweater because it goes so well with skirts yet it still keeps you warm.
