8 Hour Cream

Hello lovelies, today I will be trying Elizabeth Arden’s 8 hour cream for a week!

Taylor Used Drugstore Skin Care Brands

Taylor used drugstore brands like Jergens lotion for most of her life. “She put cream on, but she didn’t use fancy brands,” Mendelson says. Other times she would use ice water or put tea bags under her eyes. Toward the end of her life, Taylor used La Prairie as a go-to skincare brand, along with the eight-hour skin cream by Elizabeth Arden.

8 Hour Cream

The Miracle Cream

Eight Hour Cream was created 92 years ago, in 1930, by Miss Arden herself and was the first-ever cosmetic product to bear the Elizabeth Arden name.

The cream was so effective in its debut that Miss Arden used it to soothe her thoroughbred horses’ bruises. The product name “Eight Hour” takes inspiration from a loyal customer who claimed that the cream helped to heal her son’s scraped knee in just eight hours.

Since its debut, Eight Hour Cream has escalated to near cult status. Testimonials from consumers afflicted with minor skin irritations attest to the product’s miraculous healing capabilities. Its incredible versatility also makes this product a favourite of models and makeup artists alike.

A Unique and Unchanged Formula

What makes Eight Hour Cream’s apricot-coloured balm so effective?

Its combination of petrolatum, a skin-soothing beta-hydroxy and vitamin E.

This remarkable cream promotes healthy-looking skin and seals in moisture.

Ingredients:

Petrolatum:

A universally acknowledged moisturizer is providing protection to the skin while offering intensive soothing and deep moisturizing.

Salicylic Acid:

A beta-hydroxy acid pioneered by Elizabeth Arden over 70 years ago. It exfoliates gently, encouraging smooth skin.

Vitamin E:

It acts as an antioxidant to help protect the skin from free-radical damage. Quickly absorbed by the skin to improve the skin’s texture and has soothing properties.
