Hello lovelies, today I will be discussing ten style tips from Marilyn Monroe. I went through old photographs of Marilyn Monroe and broke down her wardrobe into style lessons. Marilyn Monroe’s off-screen style was very effortless and classic. Her look is still very attainable today.

1.) Sunglasses and a Scarf:

Like many old Hollywood movie stars, Marilyn Monroe would wear a silk headscarf and sunglasses when she went out. She most likely wore it to be in disguise, but I love the look of it, especially if you are in a hurry and don’t have time to do your hair or makeup.

2.) Relaxed separates:

When people think of Marilyn Monroe, they think of her in glamorous gowns, but she spent most of her time off-screen wearing relaxed separates.

3.) Understated accessories:

On the red carpet, Marilyn would wear elaborate earrings and jewelry, but off-screen, she would wear understated and simple accessories and jewelry.

4.) Messy curls :

Marilyn was known for messy curls, and I love how they looked on her shorter hair. I find that they dressed up her casual outfits.

5.) A neutral color palette:

Marilyn would wear neutral colors like white, cream, black, peach, blue, and red.

6.Beauty routine:

Marilyn Monroe’s iconic beauty is due to her top-secret beauty routine from Erno Lazlo. She spent several years trying to figure out what beauty products worked for her, and once she discovered what worked for her, she would use them regularly.

7.) Form-fitting wiggle dresses:

Marlyn loved to wear form-fitting wiggle dresses that were perfectly tailored to fit her curves.

 8.) Capri pants:

There are many photos of Marilyn wearing capri pants and relaxed separates. She loved to wear them with a sweater or a simple white button-up.

9.) Strappy heels:

Marilyn had an incredible shoe collection, including over forty pairs of custom made Salvatore Ferragamos. She loved to wear strappy heels with a simple pair of capris to dress up the look.

10.) Tight knits:

There are many photos of Maiyln wear a snug-fitting sweater with a pointy bra. A staple piece in any iconic pin-up girl’s wardrobe is a snug-fitting knit top to wear over a pointy bra. I love this understated look, mainly because it is so timeless and attainable today.
