Over the past couple of years Victoria has been over run by deer. It’s a normal thing to wake up in the morning and see a couple of deer lying in your front lawn taking in the sun. When I first moved back to Victoria a year ago I would run out to the front lawn in my pjs and try to take photos, now I don’t even flinch. I don’t live out in the wilderness at all, most people would consider Oak Bay a quiet residential suburb of Victoria. It seems like the whole neighbourhood has turned into a scene from the movie Jumanji.
