Hello lovelies, today I will be sharing 1920s inspired drug store lipstick shades. These shades are inspired by Besame Cosmetics 1922 lipstick shade.
In the 1920s, women started wearing lipstick due to the invention of the push-up lipstick tube in 1915 by Maurice Levy. Silent film stars like Theda Bara and Mae Murry helped make vamp lips and sexy bee-stung lips. The popular lip shape in the 1920s was called “cupids bow,” made popular by Clara Bow. This was a popular feminine, but daring matte heart-shaped mouth. Eyes were large, and lips were a thin dark red and dark brown color.
