Hello lovelies, since I am a huge fan of vintage Revlon and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel I was super excited when Revlon came out with The Marvelous Super Lustrous Collection. I was a little disappointed when I received my collection in the mail because the packaging was so bad. All they did was stuff a cheap-looking postcard in and silver packing envelope. It would have been nice if they created vintage-inspired lipstick tubes resembling lipstick from the 1950s and a beautiful box. I do however love The Marvelous Super Lustrous Collection in Taking the Stage Reds collection because it contains three beautiful vintage lipsticks originally from the 1950s. The colors included in the set are.
The Marvelous Super Lustrous Collection in Take the Stage Reds
Cherries in the Snow: 1953
A cool fuschia red
Certainly Red: 1951
A true Juicy Red
Fire and Ice: 1952
Firey Orange Red
The Marvelous Super Lustrous Collection in Stand-up Nudes collection is very confusing to me because the shades featured in this collection are not from the historical period of the show. I spent a few hours researching online, and I couldn’t find any information about the dates of when these nude colors were released initially. A lot of them look like something from the 1990s. It would have been nice if they gave specific information on the date the lipstick colors were initially released. If these nude shades are from the 1950s or 1960s, I would love to know. Below are the three nude colors featured in the collection.
