This outfit is a warm up to my Valentine’s Day look that I will be sharing next week. For the most part, I like to dress casual with jeans and a t-shirt when I am working from home or running some quick errands. This is my daytime Valentine’s date look that you could wear out to lunch or to see a movie. I have been finding the best stuff at Marshall’s lately, and I love this striped raincoat which will come in handy once the weather starts to warm up. I have always wanted a fun raincoat like this striped one from BCBG. I have been on a mixing print kick lately and can’t seem to stop. Every time I create a new look I start with one print and think to myself how can I mix this with another one. My rule of thumb is to mix one larger print with a smaller one and keep the color scheme matching. The heart print on my shirt is quite small and doesn’t dominate over the stripes on my raincoat. They are both a dark navy, and the hearts compliment my jacket nicely. I love this red lipstick, but it can seriously get on your teeth if you aren’t careful. My teeth were covered in red lipstick while taking these photos and I didn’t notice until afterward. Note to self-double check your teeth after you apply lipstick because this happens to me all the time. What about you?
