When I was studying painting at Emily Carr University I started a series called Juicy Peaches. I used really thick paint mixed with waxed medium which gave the painting an icing like texture. After I graduated from university I took some time away from painting because I wasn’t feeling inspired. When I moved back to Victoria I met a new friend at work who said she loved the Juicy Peaches painting and bought one from my collection. Her buying one of my paintings inspired me to paint again and I started making more Juicy Peaches. The one featured in this post is all done with coloured tissue paper and glue.
