I come to visit this lighthouse at least once a month for photos. I love coming here because it makes me feel like I am in a story book. It looks like a post card from the distance set against the snow capped mountains and ocean. It is always an adventure walking down to the lighthouse because it is situated on an old military fort built in the 1890s. This area is called Fort Rod Hill and it reminds me of Alcatraz mainly because Alcatraz was once a military fort before it became a prison.
