Dress c/o Unique Vintage
Last week Andrew and I went the Q Restaurant at The Fairmont Empress to check out all of the new renovations. I was really excited to see the big reveal as I was waiting anxiously for several months to finally see the new look of the restaurant and tea room. Q at the Empress has a fresh contemporary feel with an open concept while staying true to the building’s historic and iconic heritage. The rich cherry wood paneling and mouldings are juxtaposed against modern elements to create a new take on an old look.
The cuisine is centred around the Pacific Northwest featuring regional ingredients, partnerships with local farmers and artisans. Chef Morgan Wilson utilizes his own herb and vegetable garden to ensure that each meal is fresh and unique. The carefully curated menu features sustainably sourced seafood as well as traditionally raised meats. We ordered a wide selection of dishes so we could get a real feel for the menu and try everything. I was so full by the time we finished the main course so we had to hold off on dessert. I am excited to go back again to have a drink in the lounge that over looks the inner harbour.
